After Teach to Teacher, Student to Student!

Some of our students, who are very busy during the week, have decided to create a study group that will meet every Saturday for two hours. Their goal is to practice their English together, without a teacher. They have called their group EFU, Education For Us.

This week they all prepared a meal together for the school management in order to present the recipes and ingredients and take the opportunity to discuss the management of their group and the challenges they face.

Happy jar family

How can we raise students' awareness of waste collection and, above all, sorting?

When the Art, History and Communication Team arrived at the school, a color-coded bin system had already been in place for several years. However, it became apparent that the habits of collecting and sorting waste had not yet been fully adopted by most students.

Step 1, collect old water containers.

Step 2, using recycled materials (plastic, rope, colored bottle caps…) the students give the jerrycans a new life by making them a face, a personality and finally giving them a first name.

Step 3: Equipped with their Happy Jars, the students set off in teams to hunt for litter around the school. "You have 5 minutes to collect as much litter as possible! Remember to sort it into the correct bins." They can also choose to go for a walk around the school or near their homes, Happy Jars on their shoulders, to collect litter along the way.

Step 4: The containers are installed in the school and made available to the students, along with a short user guide. The students can then go litter hunting whenever they want!
